Tango in North Carolina
Has a Home

10/05/04 Tango, now known as "Shaggy", has been looking for his forever home for several months. Once his heartworm treatment was finished, he was able to romp all day long with his foster Mom's canines.  So a home that would keep him busy was his greatest need.  He is in a neighborhood full of children, dogs and great places to exercise.  He is best friends with one of the family's two kitties, also rescues.  There is no doubt that he is so welcome and so loved. Thanks, Barb  and Thomas for sharing your lives with this special boy!

Original Story 06/02/04 - This is Tango, he is a Beardie/Briard or Wheaten mix.  This loving boy is a mellow fellow who loves other dogs, all humans and doesn't even seem to mind cats.   He is about 50 pounds and is probably under two years old.  His coat is golden, and will be longer when it grows back.

Before: He was very thin but is gaining weight; he is between 45 and 50 pounds now and will probably get to 55 pounds. He had to be shaved due to barbed wire in his coat. He was also heartworm positive but is undergoing treatment.

He is a rich golden color with black-tipped ears, has a strong herding instinct and likes to keep track of where everyone around him is, wants to make sure everyone is happy.
